Above is a picture taken in the us cival war by Matthew Brady, It differes strongly from the previous piece by fenton as it is taken directly during the war. Fentons work was restricted and most evidence of the war was removed here brady is more artistically free and able to capture the war as he sees it where as fenton had to choose wisely what he photographed so to still encaptulate the essence that a war had once taken place there.
